Special passengers

Special passenger: Due to their identity, behavior, age, physical condition and other reasons, passengers who need special care or privileges during flight travel and meet certain transport conditions, such as VIP passengers, wheelchair passengers, stretcher passengers, unaccompanied children, the elderly, the blind, the deaf and mute, pregnant women, sick passengers, etc. are recommended to consult our customer service when booking a flight.

Restriction on the Number of Special Passengers

The total number of special passengers on a flight will not exceed 5.

Infant Passenger
The Definition of Infant Passenger

Due to their poor immunity, incomplete respiratory function, short eustachian tube and often mucus obstruction of nasopharynx, infants born less than 14 days and premature infants born less than 90 days are not acceptable for transport, as greater changes in air pressure during the landing and takeoff will have strong impact on newborns' body, and moreover, newborns are unable to swallow under such conditions, which leads to difficulty in maintaining pressure balance between the inside and outside of the eardrum.

What about the fare, airport construction fee and fuel surcharge of an infant passenger?

The fare of an infant passenger is equivalent to 10% of the published full price for an adult passenger in Y cabin, without any airport construction fee and fuel surcharge. However, an adult passenger can travel with only one infant with a ticket fare of 10% of the normal fare.

Are there any baby cradles available on board?

There are two baby cradles available in the economy cabin of a flight. Please call the customer service center more than 24 hours in advance in order to apply for a baby cradle onboard. No baby cradle available for first-class passengers.

What are the size, maximum load and usage of the baby cradle?

1. The dimensions are 750mm*340mm*225mm (WHD).
2. The maximum load is 11kg.
3. The baby cradle will be arranged on the first row in the economy cabin. After takeoff, a cabin attendant and the accompanying adult passenger must attach the cradle in place and check and confirm that the bolt is fixed firmly and the zipper is zipped up. The parent must ensure the infant does not exceed the weight and size limits of the cradle. The baby cradle will be put away 30 minutes before landing.

What is the baggage allowance for an infant?

An infant has no free baggage allowance except that a pushchair may be consigned free of charge.

Instructions for Carry-on Baggage

For a domestic flight, the total weight of hand luggages should not exceed 5kg and the volume of each article should not exceed 20cm*40cm*55cm. Any luggage exceeding the number, weight or size restrictions will be required to be consigned.

What about the procedures for excess baggage charge?

Checked baggage exceeding the free baggage allowance for the passenger ticket is required to pay an excess baggage charge and issue an excess baggage ticket. The excess baggage charge is calculated by multiplying the weight (kilograms) of the baggage by 1.5% of full economy fare.

Provisions for Pregnant Passengers

Unless diagnosed as unsuitable to travel by air, pregnant women less than 32 weeks of pregnancy are acceptable for transport as ordinary passenger.
In order to travel by air, pregnant women with more than 32 weeks but not more than 35 weeks of pregnancy must provide a diagnosis certificate with the words "Fit to Fly" issued by a medical unit at or above the county level within 72 hours prior to boarding.
Pregnant women more than 35 weeks of pregnancy are not acceptable for transport.
Pregnant women travelling by air may face considerable risks. For your own safety, you should tell us your actual conditions when selecting a flight. We will not be responsible for any accident incurred as a result of your failure to do so.

Unaccompanied Children
What about unaccompanied children?

The unaccompanied child service is required to be applied for at our customer center when purchasing ticket for children aged between 5 and 12 years to travel alone. In order to ensure a smooth trip, please make sure to apply for the service 48 hours in advance, as there are clear restrictions on the number of unaccompanied children in a flight.

Are children allowed to travel alone?

Child passengers over 5 years old may apply for travelling alone as unaccompanied children, while child passengers below 5 years old are required to travel with the company of an adult passenger.

Are there any charges for unaccompanied children?

Only a normal child ticket is required to buy without any extra fees.

How to buy an unaccompanied child ticket?

In accordance with the transport conditions set forth by the company, the application for unaccompanied children must be put forward at least 48 hours in advance of departure and must be approved by the company before the procedures for seat reservation and ticket purchasing can be done at our ticket offices and other ticket offices authorized by the company.

The seat reservation and ticket purchasing for unaccompanied children must fill out the unaccompanied child application form and present the residence booklet or birth certificate of the child and the identity card of its parents or guardians.

Unaccompanied children must be escorted to the boarding place by their parents or guardians and must be picked up and looked after at the arrival place by designated people whose name, address and phone number must be provided.

How to apply for special meals?

You should call the customer service to apply for special meals at least 24 hours in advance of departure.
